What would you do if you knew this wasn’t where you belonged?
What if there was a song in your heart singing over the rainbow
What if every time it rained that was the sky telling you to go?
Knowing that every single train ride
Was a chance to rewrite your resume
In iambic pentameter
Knowing that the diameter of the earth
Wasn’t wide enough to be worth not switching sides
Before tomorrow
Would you borrow twenty dollars for a train
To a place where in never rains
To a place where it never pains you to say
That you get up each day and do the same thing again
Would you tell all your friends
There’s a seven train coming
And your life hasn’t been running full speed ahead
So maybe you need to get off of the downtown bus
And take that one instead
